Roses out of gratitude: given for free by one of the lovely street people whom my S&S community service team serve every second and third Sunday's of every month. While trimming to clean these roses, I realized how precious they were from a poor man trying to make a living in the streets by selling them. It came from a appreciative heart who was touched and impacted in a positive way by my team and I's service simple act of service (such giving clothing, food and conversation). It reminded me of this verse from Isaiah 58:10 NLT:
"Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness,and darkness around you will be as bright as day." Shine your light today! |
