After a jolly listen to Christmas carols in the morning while scrubbing the bathroom, I am now taking a moment of just silence and listen to... nothing really! This area of lovely Burlingame - Hillsborough area is as quiet as a feather sometimes, particularly today. It could very well be that the residents are already on their way to spend thanksgiving with loved ones. I sometimes feel that I have no neighbours because of the muted atmosphere. Am I complaining? Definitely not. I prefer this kind of environment than the busy traffic and city hustle and bustle noise pollution. I really am a suburban chic, thanks to my years of living in Western Sydney of NSW. However, living in Burlingame (just 25 mins away from the city via freeway) is more closer to the quietness of a Canberra ACT neighbourhood. Sydney-siders would know what I mean.
